Clothing

The standard of dress in Toronto varies from casual to formal, depending on the occasion. Casual clothing is generally acceptable in most restaurants and bars. Of course, there are some fine establishments where jackets and ties are needed. We recommend lightweight clothing for summer along with sunglasses and sunscreen. In winter, it is great weather with beautiful snow in Toronto. However, the temperature is almost always below 0° and so you will need a winter coat, winter boots (insulated and water-proof), a hat, a scarf, gloves and heavy sweaters. Bringing an umbrella is recommended as it does rain from time to time in each season.
