GEOS offers a Super-Intensive English Course for those students wishing to study even more seriously. During the morning and the afternoon the students will join the Semi-Intensive English Course and after that they will join 2 level-appropriate elective course availables at that time, such as the TOEIC iBT Preparation Class, the IELTS Preparation Class, Academic Writing, Pronunciation or others.
INTEGRATED SKILLS CLASS (AM) During the morning session, students study four English skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening - through a “Communicative Language Teaching” methodology. New grammar patterns are learned in the context of a conversation or a real-life situation. Students also use various activities to practice English conversation including listening tasks, role plays, and discussions. Practical reading and writing tasks and vocabulary studies are presented as well in our 6 available levels. Students can begin on any Monday.
ACTIVE LISTENING CLASS (PM) During the afternoon session, students will cover a variety of topics while practicing English conversation management, North American conversational styles, and pronunciation. Students learn commonly-used idioms and slang in a communicative way. Teachers also use various activities to practice these new idioms including listening tasks, role play, and discussion.
ELECTIVE CLASSES (2) Students will choose 2 level-appropriate elective classes that most interests them and/or most benefits their English goals. We offer a variety of elective classes including TOEFL iBT Test Preparation, TOEIC Test Preparation, IELTS Test Preparation, Academic Writing, Business English/French, Pronunciation, Communicative Grammar, Power Speaking, and others.
A GEOS English class features a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on oral communication - speaking and listening. Well trained and highly qualified instructors help students improve their conversation skills through a variety of creative activities. There are six different levels of study, from beginner through advanced. A placement test helps us find the best class level for each student. At the end of each four-week session, each student will receive a written evaluation and have a one-on-one with one of their teachers. This is how we help you monitor your progress. After each three month semester, students receive a report card, and students receive a GEOS certificate when they finish their course.
OUR ENGLISH CLASS FEATURES: * Teacher instruction, no self-access.

![]() Hi, my name is Augustine and I am from Switzerland. I have taken a sabbatical year to come to Canada to improve my English. I have been studying at GEOS for 10 weeks now and I really enjoyed my time here! The teachers and the staff are great and always here for you when you need help and I have met a lot of amazing people in the school. Studying at GEOS is a wonderful experience because you meet people from the whole world and learn a lot about different cultures. For me it is not only a school, it is more like a family. We do activities together, go partying during weekends and share a lot of good moments. I only have one week left at GEOS, and even if I am staying in Toronto for 3 more months I am going to miss everyone and the school atmosphere! I also really like Toronto so I am going to enjoy my last 3 months because like we say, Time flies when you have fun! Thank you everyone for everything! Augustine Switzerland |
