Hi! My name is Su. Thanks to working holiday program, I came here with work permit. Here, I can learn how to speak English with native speakers and moreover I can get chances to work with them. Especially Toronto is a multi-cultural city, so you can go see a ton of different cultures in one city.

 

The reason why I chose GEOS is because of scale. Frankly, my school is not so big but because of this advantage teachers can concentrate on their students and their classes. And we have a very friendly atmosphere like a big family. Everyone knows each other and always hangs out together and exchanges their cultures. Every student is from very various countries and they start understanding more about other countries. I'm Richard from Venezuela. I've been in Toronto for approximately 8 month. At the time of my arrival to GEOS my first impression was that it was a small school. However it turned out to be a good thing, everybody in GEOS is willing to help, it is like a big family, you get to know most of the students, no matter what level you or they are. Moreover the classes are really interactive; I believe I've reached an English level that I didn't expect.

 

Toronto is an amazing city. I arrived in summer, a season when you can find many different festivals, meet new people, new places and discover details of a variety of cultures. Also Toronto is a good option if you are interested in nightlife, plenty of places it offers numerous alternatives. I define myself as a food lover and Toronto gave me the opportunity to taste an enormous variety of flavours and food from different countries that otherwise I would have never even imagined that they existed.

Toronto has big diversity. That's why I like this city. We can meet people who have different cultures. There are a lot of events which are very interesting. There are some famous palces in Toronto. For example, CN Tower, Toronto Island, Wonderland which has a lot of roller coasters, etc. We can also go to New York and Niagara falls. They are not far from here. I came here in order to learn English fluently and make some friends as well. I feel that my English has improved over the last few weeks. Hello! My name is TJ and I'm from South Korea. I've been studying at GEOS for 3 months. When I came here, the atmosphere of the school was like a family and all GEOS staff helped me. Although this school is not big. I like this style school. If you want to learn basics of English well, just come to GEOS. They can care about you guys so much.

 

I also love this city, Toronto. There are so many festivals and many good places to visit. That's why I could see good festivals and enjoy my life. If you come here, you should go to Canada's Wonderland. It's awesome! One of roller coasters, Behemoth, is the best I've ever ridden.

 

Anyway, come to GEOS and Toronto. You can be happy!!

I've been here twice because the first time was great experience so that I wanted to come back and see old friends again. And did it! Also it's the perfect city to spend the summer even if you're underage. In my case, I went to Queen's Quay and Dundas Square. At there, I met new people from each country. Moreover, you have beaches if you miss the pool. Go to Woodbine Beach and play football or maybe go to Toronto Island to stay in the beach or ride bicycles. So many options! It's impossible to get bored and you have activities with the academy. For example go-karting or go to the cinema every Tuesday (it's only $5). Trust me, it's going to be the best summer here in Toronto with GEOS.

Hello! My name is Alejandra and I'm from Mexico. I've been here for 10 months and It was the best experience in my life! I came to Toronto to improve my English and also to experience about different cultures. GEOS it was my second home, they made me feel as part of a family, the staff and the teachers are very nice, they were always there when I had some questions or when I needed something. Hi everyone! My name is Larissa and I'm from Brazil! I arrived in Toronto speaking little English, then went into the geos at level one and quickly went to the second. I realized that my English was progressing, I could communicate better in my homestay and on the street in situations of everyday life! I came to study in just 3 months geos, but I want to stay longer, because the school is very good and very competent teachers! I am a bit shy to speak English because I do not know the language very well, but my friends always help me in class, the exercises in groups and / or the materials that I do not understand! and now I communicate with them easier and less shame, and more interesting is that I knew them all 'in English,' I think our personality changes a bit when talking in another language, I believe I could show a bit of me all class friends! is very good you can make friends from other countries, with another culture and another way of thinking, so you can grow in life, I think a great learning! I think the proper method that uses the geos, have tests with frequency is good for students studying to be bullied into giving their best on tests and also to know how they are progressing or how much they need to improve! geos also offers a variety of activities outside school, which makes the lessons more cool! has activities outside of class time also participated in community work that was fun, I could train my English with Canadians and met people from other schools, which I kept in touch and help me when I have doubts in English! Hello guys! I'm min. I'm from Korea, and I came at GEOS, Toronto as soon as I graduated from my university this year. I have studied English for about 3 months at GEOS, and I met new friends and teachers like a family. Before Canada I did know anything about English, I did know some words and "what's your name? How are you?" and nothing else.
When I arrived in Canada from the beginning it was very magical to me, all very different and beautiful.

Hello! My name is Patricia. I'm from Brazil and I'm a lawyer specialized in Maritime Law. I decided to study abroad to improve my English and to quickly get the fluency in this language, because it is very important in my job's area.
I'm really happy have chosen at GEOS. This school is serious and committed to student's learning. It's one school that provides integration between people from different nationalities and cultures. Also, it's provides daily activities that make the English learning something enjoyable and funny. My name is Mira and I'm from Slovakia. This is my 7th week at GEOS and I'm looking forward to 6 more.
I like it here because of teachers who help everyone and they never seem to be annoyed by your questions, eve though sometimes your questions are as far from topic as you can get.
Other thing that is great here are students themselves. It's really interesting to see so many different nationalities in one place. Everyone is trying to help you, make new friends. You can get lots of international contacts this way.
I would say, that if you want to learn English, there is no better way than leave home for a while, go some place new, speak and learn. For that is GEOS ideal.

I'm Gijae Byun, I'm living Toronto now. I was GEOS student to learn English. When I came to Canada, I looked for some schools. But I didn't want to speak Korean. That's why I selected GEOS. When I went to GEOS, there were just 7 Korean. So I tried to speak English well. And there are many activities. Specially volunteering is the best program. If you go to volunteering to sell 50:50 tickets, you can talk with foreigners naturally. And you can watch NBA games or hockey games. I had never watched hockey games before. But when I went to volunteering I watched the hockey game that was so exciting. I'm sure it should be good experience. Sometime we had a potluck that people bring their own food. So there were many kinds of food what is from other counties I have never had this kind of lunch before. It was amazing. Because I could try Saudi food, Mexican food, French food and some strange food what I never tried before. And we could be more familiar at that time.
When I came to Toronto, I lived in homestay. The homestay family members are Canadian. At the first time, I couldn't speak English. But they waited that I spoke. If I couldn't understand their speaking, they tried to explain about that. They like music. So they have some instruments that are the guitars and the drum. The homestay son taught me to play the guitar. Sometimes I played street hockey with homestay son's friends. It was so funny. Before Christmas we woke up in the early morning to by cheap Christmas tree. And we made the Christmas tree together. After then we ate some traditional Christmas food. At the Christmas day they gave presents that are a hat and a cup to me. Anyway I really enjoyed my homestay, It was good experience to me.
Now I share the room with a Mexican guy who has lived for 5 years in Canada. He is very a nice guy and I can try to speak English. If you come to Toronto, you can meet many people who are from different counties. It can help to understand another culture. If you like to learn about new culture, why don't you come to Toronto.

I am Kenia, I am from Brazil, I am a pharmacist with performance in chemical industry. I chose to study English abroad in order to improve my English so quickly and effective to achieve and exceed expectation in my career. I am very satisfied by GEOS Toronto because I am achieving my aim.
GEOS is helping me in all aspect such as pronounce, write, grammar etc. Beyond everything GEOS staff has given me special attention because of my difficulty in my English pronunciation, this have showed an excellent result. In Toronto I've made great friendships, I have stayed an excellent homestay that have been my family, giving all affection and attention making me fell like at my home. To be part of GEOS family has been a great experience for me, and I could feel that my English improved every day. I like their policy that forbids the students from speaking in their mother tongue. I came from Czech republic to Toronto for eight weeks to improve my English. It was the main reason, because it is important for my future major. It is my first time in Canada and I was looking forward to explore Ontario and Qubec, and I wanted to learn about Canada culture. If you want to enjoy a great holiday,I think Toronto is the best place, because here, there are many interesting places like Royal museum, Wonderland and Toronto islands. Every weekend you can see many exciting festivals. It is great. I became a member in Geos language school. I am glad that I decided to register with this company. When I came to GEOS, I was little surprised, because everybody is so polite, friendly and I feel good here. I have two great teachers and I have schoolmates from many foreign countries. So you can learn a lot about their cultures and you can make friendships with them. I have to leave Toronto in three weeks, but I would like to stay longer, because I spent a great time here.

I am here in GEOS to improve my English skills and also enjoy multi cultural city life and learn about them in Toronto. In GEOS, in the class, teachers do not use only our textbooks directly, they create different teaching techniques in order to take our attention to the important points. Hi my name is Sylvain and I come from France for 1 month in Toronto in order to improve my English. At first I didn't really want to come because I thought it would be really boring to study during my vacation. But I was wrong. I spent an amazing time in Toronto. I met wonderful people and spent a really good time with them. Toronto is a multi-cultural city with a good atmosphere. There are many things to do every single day and big festivals almost every week. It's also close to the USA. GEOS booked a trip to New York for me with some Spanish friends. It was so nice. How can I consider my experience with international students in GEOS? This experience has been excellent and amazing because GEOS has many tools for improving English as a second language in their students. First, GEOS has an excellent academic staff. This is a big and important experience and uses many pedagogic strategies. These strategies permit them to improve the speaking, reading, writing and listening sources in their students. I was able to improve this and I feel that my English is improving day by day. Second, GEOS offers many cultural and social activities that are a great component for our learning process. The student can know many interesting places and cultural components about Toronto and Canada. This aspect is a good strategy for our learning process. Third, GEOS offers the opportunity to know about cultural literacy around the world. When the students live with Canadian homestay, they make sure there are different groups in class and travel groups. This is an excellent opportunity for knowing between us and improves our English. I have been studying at GEOS for 10 weeks now and I really enjoyed my time here! The teachers and the staff are great and always here for you when you need help and I have met a lot of amazing people in the school. Studying at GEOS is a wonderful experience because you meet people from the whole world and learn a lot about different cultures. For me it is not only a school, it is more like a family. We do activities together, go partying during weekends and share a lot of good moments. I only have one week left at GEOS, and even if I am staying in Toronto for 3 more months I am going to miss everyone and the school atmosphere! I have joined some school activities before and it was exciting and the classes are the most enjoyable for me. I have good teachers and classmates.
